Since that time two books have been writen about geodesign, three universities are now offering degree programs in geodesign, and numerous organizations are using geodesign as part of their standard service offerings to their customers.
Additionally, Esri and others have developed software to support the geodesign workflow. Esri developed GeoPlanner, an easy-to-use tool for doing land-based geodesign and added features to City Enginer for doing geodesign in 3D space and ArcGIS Pro for doing geodesign on the desktop. GeodesignHub has developed a suite of programs to support the various workshops by Carl Steinitz, which are now being offered around the world.
You should set aside February 2019 as geodesign-month and plan to attend this coming year's conference which will be held at Esri's conference center in Redlands, California.
In the meantime, stay tuned to this page in our GeodesignWiki ... we'll keep you informed as the planning unfolds for this forthcoming landmark conference on geodesign.
